Interior Colour Trends 2023

As the world of home decor and interior continues to evolve, so do the colour trends that come with it. Colour is a key element of interior design that creates a mood, evokes emotions and influences the overall direction of the space. Colours can be warm, cool and neutral.

2023 is a year of soft and bright colours. From bright blues and greens to warm oranges and pinks, this year has brought exciting colour combinations and a unique palette that can be used in both traditional and contemporary spaces.

Let's explore some popular colour trends and colours!

Colour Blocking

It's a timeless technique that has been used for decades to create bold and eye-catching designs. You can create this look by simply using two different colours on the wall. It's a great way to add some visual interest and personality to any space. Whether you are looking to create a modern minimalistic look or something more eclectic and playful, colour blocking is a versatile technique.

Colour Drenching

You might have seen this on various home decor insta accounts. It's hugely popular! So what is colour drenching? It basically means that you are using the same colour on your walls, ceilings or any other surface like skirting boards, radiators etc. This creates a seamless look and can bring a dull-looking space to life especially when you are using soft neutral colours. It can also make a small space look bigger!

Inky Blues and Glorious Greens

These are my favourite go to colours and can create a luxurious look. Navy blue and Green have made it's way into living, dining, library and office rooms and seem to have captivated everyone's heart. They are also popular colours for kitchen cabinets, wardrobes and furniture. You can add patterns and prints in bright Whites, Greys, Pinks, and vibrant Oranges to bring out the best of these colours.

Pretty Pinks

Pink has been used this year to create so many different moods. It can bring a calming effect, help in achieving a sophisticated look or can make a space feel cosier. Try adding a pink cushion cover, artwork, a rug or a blush armchair to your decor with contrasting Green, Blue, Orange and see the difference!

Classic Neutrals

if you are unsure of what colours to use neutrals are the safest option. Neutral and muted colours can have a soothing effect and can enhance your mood. Using a neutral colour palette like White, Grey, or Sage Green will not only brighten up your space but will give you the freedom to play with colours.
